China-Mekong Law Center Strives To Improve Pedagogy In Asian Legal Education. We Pursue Our Mission Through The Development Of Innovative Course Offerings And International Learning Environments. For More Than 25 Years, CMLC Has Served Both Law Schools and Law Students By Designing Original Programming, Deepening Knowledge, And Increasing Opportunities.

China-Mekong Law Center is supporting the establishment of an annual conference series on issues of law, public policy and legal education relevant to the Greater Mekong Subregion.  The inaugural workshop will proceed on December 9-10, 2019, on the subject of “Establishing an Agriculture Law Program: Training Lawyers to Represent Rural Communities” at Khon Kaen University, Nongkhai Campus, Thailand. This workshop will be held in conjunction with the first formal meeting of the Mekong Region Law School Consortium.  For more information on the inaugural workshop, please see Call for Papers.  Papers will be published in the inaugural edition of the Mekong Region Law and Public Policy Research Series and any other journal interested in making its mark in the Mekong Region.

Future symposia or workshops will formally be managed by the Mekong Region Law School Consortium. A second annual conference is already in the works for late 2020 on the subject of “Administrative Law in the Greater Mekong Subregion” to be held at Yadanabon University in Mandalay, Myanmar.
